Since our founding by Kurt Horhäuser in Düsseldorf in 1946, we have continued to develop, and today we are proud to handle 55,000 to 60,000 tons of aluminum scrap annually at our two locations.

We originally started out as a small company that collected aircraft and tank parts on the Rhine meadows. Over the years, we have steadily expanded our business area.

After the loss of our founder Kurt Horhäuser Senior in 1983, his wife Ingrid Horhäuser successfully continued to run the company and drive its growth. Her son Kurt Horhäuser Junior and later her son Ralf Horhäuser followed in their father’s footsteps and made a significant contribution to the company’s success.

In May 1999, Grafenberg-Metall St. Ingbert was founded in Saarland.

At the same time, Mr. Volker Tenie was integrated into the company as managing partner.

Under the management of Mr. Tenie, a new location was founded in Homburg in 2002, as the old site had become too small in the meantime.

In the years that followed, we expanded our business, opened new locations and optimized our logistics. Today, we have a 43,000 m² facility in Krefeld and a 10,000 m² hall in Homburg.

By continuously investing in modern technologies and efficient logistics, we are able to offer our customers high-quality products and first-class service.

We look forward to continuing to be your reliable partner in the metal trade in the future.
